A Year in Pictures

2011 was a busy year for the artists at Trayler & Trayler. The most recent highlights were:

We've also seen Gary Burchell creating campaigns for MasterCard and Sony Ericsson, Rob Payne shooting dramatic nightscapes for Coca Cola - and Jeremy Hudson producing HUNDREDS of splashes for Nestea.

Plus...
• Finger Industries have been winning more awards for depicting germs and viruses in exciting new ways
• Elise Dumontet has been re-commissioned to capture Gok's clothing range for Sainsbury's TU
• Beate Sonneberg shot sparkling heels for Vogue and lighter than air chocolate for Cadbury's
• Jasper White photographed controversial pieces on food as rubbish for the Guardian
• Tim MacPherson worked with babies for both Hugggies and Vicks
Andrzej Dragan was commissioned by Channel 4 for the third time this year
• Frank Herholdt's beautiful reflection series was awarded in this years CR Photography Annual

We've enjoyed being busy and we've LOVED the repeat business. So a big thank you.

Jeremy's award winning campaign for M&C Saatchi Sydney...

Jeremy Hudson's work for the Sydney Dogs and Cats Home has been well awarded recently; picking up a silver in the Outdoor and Integrated categories as well as a bronze in the Effectiveness category in this years ADMA Awards.

Jeremy was among twenty other top photographers to be commissioned by M&C Saatchi Sydney to create portraits of homeless dogs and cats, for a campaign for the SD&CH.

Take a glimpse at Stuart Hall's evolving landscape project...

This beautiful series of landscapes shot by Stuart Hall is part of an unfinished (as yet) project based on the reclamation of land used in mining. The ponds you see in these stunning landscapes are old mine works in the UK.

We love Stuarts use of colour in this piece of work and can't wait for the next instalment...!

Oli Kellett's shot for McDonald's is running everywhere now! I wasn't quick enough with the camera last night when I saw it at the bus stop, but Debut Art caught it today in the Metro and posted it on flickr! It's also been spotted on the Underground!

Illustrator, Vince Mclndoe created the retro design of the sign, whilst Oli Kellett captured it on camera. We're lovin' it!

Bird Cages by Jasper White

Bird Cages is Jasper White's latest project which was shot over a period of fives days in Barcelona. It gives us an insight into the homes of our domesticated feathered friends, and the wonderfully kitsch Spanish interiors in which they reside.

These are our favourite shots from the series, how about yours? Click here to view more of Jasper's quirky interiors and decide for yourself...

In conversation with Athier TONIGHT at the National Portrait Gallery

Chasing Mirrors is a season that focuses on contemporarty visual art and culture inspired by connections with the greater Middle East. Our very own Athier Mousawi has collaborated with young people from three community partners to create an installation of new work, reflecting on portraiture and concepts of representation and identity.

Athier has a very distinct style which combines geometric Islamic shapes, abstracted Arabic calligraphy and bold colours. 'Chasing Mirrors : My Portrait, Shape by Shape (which runs until Sunday 8 January 2012) showcases work by young people who have participated in art workshops led by Athier as well as his own large-scale piece created this summer.

The exhibition was launched last Friday at the National Portrait Gallery,  co-hosted by the Director of the National Portrait Gallery and Athier himself! Head down to the National Portrait Gallery tonight for the Late Shift to hear Athier discussing the project.
